Join us this Sunday

17th Sunday after Pentecost

In this week's Old Testament reading, Jonah was not at all happy with God’s discernment about the people in Ninevah.  Our Gospel this week also describes a parable where workers are not happy with other workers receiving the same wages from the master, since various workers began at different times.  Even though God is known for justice and equity, for righteousness and truth; the same God is also known for graciousness, mercy, and for abounding steadfast love. This can account for actions from God that seem to not be fair to us, as Jonah also seemed to discern. This may be true, that God is at times simply not fair.  But before we get too upset, consider the thought that this is actually really good news for us!

What people are saying about our church

Saint Martin is a wonderfully warm and caring congregation. I have been attending regularly and have found a church home with traditional Christian worship and genuine Christian values.
